Radar Course

One Day Theory Course

Course Details

Duration: 1 Day

Previous experience required: None

Content: Most effective use of a RADAR set as a navigation aid. Use of RADAR for collision Avoidance.

This one day course is aimed at users of RADAR sets in small craft. The use of Radar is becoming increasingly common as prices of RADAR Sets continue to fall. However, as with most modern equipment the best results are only possible when you know how to correctly utilise all the functions available. The course begins by looking at the way RADAR actually works and then goes on to how the various functions affect the set. Other subjects covered include Target definition, Radar reflectors, types of Radar display, RADAR plotting and the use of RADAR for general navigation and collision avoidance.
The RADAR course is held in our classroom and includes all course materials and morning and afternoon tea.

Lunch is not included.
